👩🍳 Semmelknödel Recipe
- Pour hot milk over the dumpling bread, cover, and let sit for 20–30 minutes until softened.
- Heat butter in a pan and sauté onions until just translucent — do not brown.
- Add onions to the bread mixture with eggs, fresh parsley, salt, pepper, and a dash of nutmeg (bacon optional).
- Knead thoroughly with hands until the mixture binds.
- Form into tennis ball-sized dumplings.
- Place in salted water just before boiling point and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
